I only mail out packages on Saturdays. In case of a Holiday, Monday or Tuesday, but that is rare.

I reserve the right to send a different plant if I am out of the one you want. I very rarely do it, but as an example sometimes my husband has accidentally sold my last one the day before and I don't know until I walk out the next morning to ship your plants. I will send one as close to your original choice as possible. It will be of equal value or more. If I don't have one of such a match, (ex: same color, double, single,) I will gladly return your money.

I will not be held responsible for any plants that arrive damaged by the United States Post Office. Order at your own risk. I will replace any plant(s) that are dead on Arrival, although suspect this would be a very rare occurance. I send only healthy, vibrant plants ☺ . Take a photo of the box & plant(s) in question, and email must be received on the date the package was received. No exceptions, period. If this scares you, then don't order from me. I am committed to serving you, and my plants are top notch, but I cannot be held responsible for the way the Post Office may treat some of it's parcels. Also note that I cannot replace after that time because I am not in control of your growing conditions.

Updated April 19th: For the last 6 months or so, I have been sending the plants out in bamboo reinforced boxes. The Post Office way of handling things required this, especially on long trips to the angel's new homes. This has caused you and I more expense, but about 99 percent safety that the plants arrive perfectly intact. For the extra time and costs to me and my helper, I will charge a base fee of the original shipping cost by USPS, plus 5.00 a box for the packing time, and the bamboo rods, extra shipping tape, time to cut the rods to fit, etc. Anything over this (rounded) I will refund after your package has been sent out and I know what the USPS has actually charged. I appreciate your understanding.

There will be a 20 percent restocking fee or 6.00 handling fee, whichever is greater, if you cancel your order within 48 hours of my shipping it. Remember, I've already pulled the plant aside, printed labels for the box, spent much time preparing it and then boxing it up for the journey, and possibly lost another sale of said plant. I have also updated the website to show that this cultivar number has changed. A lot of work! (Read Shipping paragraphs below for more on my handling the plants prior to shipping) Please know what you want before placing that order. If you do end up needing to cancel, do so by sending me an email or giving me a call. Note times to call further below. If they won't fit the timeframe you need, just email. I always get to the emails quickly and you should not encounter any problems. Purchase is non∼refundable after 3 days of arrival, unless the plant is DOA, minus shipping charge. You can ask for (email or call me) and receive store credit in certain situations. My Email address is on the bottom of every page.

I pride myself in making sure the parcels are tenderly packaged and secure, to minimize risk to you, the buyer. The soil the plant was grown in will be left intact, to insure that the plant goes through the leasst amount of stress.

Upon receipt of your plant(s) unpack carefully and immediately re-pot them. You can go up one size in pot, as they will be the proper pot size listed and fully grown to that pot. I highly suggest using one of yours/my own home made soil mixes, as they are more suited to growing great brugmansias. Water them thoroughly and keep them in a sheltered and out of direct sun for 2 weeks, gradually adapting the plant to proper sunlight strength. Keep the soil barely moist after the initial soaking. You are trying to re-establish the plant, not drown it. Do not fertilize for two weeks. I have lightly fertilized them prior to shipping to help them with∼stand the journey. You can give them a weak SuperThrive or Brugmansia Tea mix in the first two weeks, once a week.

If you are a fairly new gardener, here is a beginner style approach and what to do when receiving your plants. Brugmansia Immediate Care.

I am a very small, family cared for grower. I will run out of certain cultivars from time to time. I try to post on the Sales page when I may have that plant cultivar back in stock. To let you know how small of a Grower I really am, I may have only 4 or 5 of one cultivar available at a time. I am not a huge, sprawling Nursery, rather I am an Enthusiaist who wants to share the Brug love. :)

I make it a point to answer my email promptly. This is your very best way to communicate with me. You can expect a reply within the same day if it's mailed to me before 8 PM, Eastern Standard Time. Hey, and be sure to unblock so my return email will get through. Put me in your address book to be sure of this. My Email address is on the bottom of every page.

PAYPAL AND SHIPPING FEES

I have taken a screenshot (below photo) to show you just how few options Paypal gives me for shipping. I could use about 3 times as many to break down the shipping costs to keep them more effective to you. Unfortunately, Paypal is making a killing on their percentage rate as is, (they even charge a percentage on shipping!) so they are not inclined to change this anytime soon. If you find you are overcharged on the shipping rates when intially checking out, you may be right. When it is overcharged, I refund all but the real shipping cost and 3 bucks (per box) over for the tape, stickers, inks, bamboo rods (wait until you see the box-then you'll see my gripe with USPS!) I use to reinforce the boxes, etc. Sorry mates, I can't control Paypal and USPS, wish I could. All I can do is make sure the real Shipping is covered, and refund you the difference when it is over.

As a sidenote: Take the long bamboo rod out of the shipping tape in the box sent and use it as support for the taller brugmansia or another of your own plants that need support. Those stakes are not cheap, and should be recycled :)

Sorry folks, but California, Texas, Hawaii, Louisiana, and Arizona have shipping regulations that do not allow me to ship to you. Also, no shipping to Alaska. (too far, too hard on the plants) I suppose you'll have to move out of state to enjoy any of my lovely brugmansias and other plants and seeds.

I also DO NOT SHIP internationally, or even anywhere else in the known universe. That includes seeds. I do ship to all other 48 states, unless otherwise noted. One quaint small town in Florida, called Maitland, (Isn't that the name of the town in the movie BeetleJuice?) is also banned from sales of brugmansia. :(.
If you do place an order though Paypal and you live out of the USA, or in Arizona, Hawaii, or Maitland, Fl., I will refund your money. This will tie up your money for several days, as Paypal does not immediately refund. Nobody likes that, so please don't attempt to!

MY PRIVACY POLICY: I am committed to protecting your privacy. Trumpetflowers.com will never disclose, sell, or rent your name or personal information to anyone, including third parties. I don't do mass emails, so no worries mate. I also never do forwarding emails. I hate those, don't you?

After you receive them, if you are new to plants, gardening, or just want a few pointers to get started in right direction with the brugmansia, try reading this page for beginners: Brugmansia Immediate Care

Finally, if you have a question and would like to ask me something, please feel free to email me. I answer my email frequently. It is listed on the bottom of every page on this website.
